This is a video showing a trail that has been blazed from Eighth Lake to Bug Lake in the Fulton Chain of Lakes in the Adirondack Mountains.
Beginning as very young children, I walked from the 8th Lake Camping Grounds to Bug Lake, but no trail had been forged. My Dad had been shown the way once and he remembered. We walked this trail as a family every year while camping at 8th Lake, in the Adirondack Mountains. There were special (to us) marking points along the way, which let us know that we were on the right track. Once of those markers was a huge tree. We always stopped there, and held hands around the tree to try to touch fingers. I think the tree's girth was too large for us to connect.
